  • More like consumer advice ...

I have been using those dish sponge/scrubby thingies (like the Scotch-Brite) but am trying to find out if there is a reasonably environmentally friendly substitute.

I posted this question on a FB group about reducing waste but the post seems to have vanished.

One person had recommended dishcloths, which is fine, but I also want something that does the 'scrubby' part without having the destructive power of steel wool.

Anybody got anything that they use that works well?

I think it actually is Scotch that also makes a version out of some kind of gourd innards or something. They're brown. There's a sponge (though I wonder if the sponge is biodegradable) and a scrubbie version. Oh, here's a blog post about them: https://myplasticfreelife.com/2009/1...-greenwashing/ I've used them. They're OK. The plastic ones work a bit better because I buy the heavy duty ones. These are...regular duty?

Scrub Daddy! They last a long time because you can put them in the dishwasher, they're tough AND they're cute.
