Default Farewell Neil

An all-work meeting was just called. Heart attack. Somewhat dismayed right now.

That's terrible.

Ditto the motion: keep us posted and try to take care of yourself.

Home now, so more details. He had a heart attack when he was eighteen and he was in his fifties now. Always been high on the risk of it. Had another about two months ago and ended up in hospital for a bypass that didn't go quite according to plan, but the doctors reckoned they'd patched him up enough. He was released from hospital on Monday and was convalescing at home.

Sudden extra heart attack this morning, no warning, finished him. One of those truly big guys who had a heart of gold. Loved his golf.

Happily outspoken at general meetings, referring to manual pallet movers as 'wanky barrows' on one occasion, or asking (when everything we do is vegetarian and preferably organic as a point of principle) why we didn't add organic meat to our product range. People began to complain and he innocently protested that it was organic.

Some truly defining moments of that guy.

Did he specify Liver & lights, Heart & kidney, Sweetbreads & Chitlins... as organic organs?
