Nope: Here is another hint - The song in question is by a recently (within the last 5 years) deceased artist.

Ok, I'll guess again
Human Nature - Michael Jackson
And no one has got my last one, so I'll toss it back out -

Crimson and Clover 1968 Tommy James and the Shondells. Patrick Samson reached #1 in Italy with the 1969 cover "Soli si muore", Joan Jett and the Blackhearts 1982
Aguaturbia (1969), The Uniques (1969), Sielun Veljet (1991), Bobby Conn (1995), Deadsy and Cher (1999), Dolly Parton (2005) and Prince (2009). The Velvet Underground's instrumental song "Ride Into the Sun", found on the Out-take album Another View, uses the same chords. Lou Reed later used the same chords for "Sweet Jane" on the Velvet Underground's Loaded album.
Yes I look it up.

Clang! Clang! Clang! (Went the trolley!), from "Meet me in St. Louis", sung by Judy Garland.
That was easy. Hmmm...

smfrazier got it.
"Morning (Morning)" by Rich(ie) Havens <- parentheses are actual names.
This had me thrown, as I first thought maybe Dale was translating "Ritchie Valens" - but no RV song matched "Dawn". After running through "bay, gulf, inlet, marina, dock, haven... hey!", I finally got it.
Now, then...

Errr... Do we have to obfuscate the artist, too? I mean, trying to come up with something for, say, Tanita Tikaram is a real bitch.
