My petty whine for the day
Why, why, why all of a sudden has my name become popular as a name for dogs. 
My name is a little unusual (or old-fashioned) and I know of only two other people that have it, both are several years younger than me. But at least once a month I hear "oh, your name is <name>? Me/my friend/neighbor/relative has a dog named that!"
