This reminds me of the time when I bought Sims games and expansion packs for my PC, I would sometimes bring the display over to the counter only to have the clerk open the drawer and take out the CD/DVD and manual that came with the box that I was handing over to them and put them into the box to sell to me.

Yes, you know what that means. I was buying the display item because it was the last game in stock.

I also bought the last four packs of no name double-roll toilet paper from the supermarket next door.

...We do have some fabric which is slightly... Well, not inappropriate, but funny. Here's one.

Especially when buying used CDs/DVDs, I've seen stores keep the actual disc behind the counter to cut down on theft. As frequently as we find empty disc cases where I work, I kind of wish we could do that, but it's probably not practical in a thrift store.

My store has the adult coloring books. They are flying off the shelves. Even our random housewares items are flying out for the holidays. Our website had some really great deals but omg, cyber Monday's aftermath almost killed me

I had an adult dot-to-dot many years ago, it was not as good as it could have been...

There's a subreddit out there (freebooks, I think) that has free, legal e-book versions of adult coloring books/mandala books, etc every week or two. Worth checking out if you don't mind printing the things out yourself.

Where did you get those? I would love Harry Potter and Doctor Who adult coloring books!
The Doctor Who one was ordered off of Amazon, and the Harry Potter one was bought at Chapters up here in Canada. I know that pretty much all the colouring books coming out should be available via Amazon, including the Outlander colouring book that is out (I didn't get this one because I'm not as big a fan of that series).

I don't mind printing things out myself at all so I will definitely look for online colouring page sites I can always print them out at work when I want them!

Goodness, today really hit hard. The item that is suuuuuper popular at my store is adult coloring books. Funny story, the first time someone asked me for one, my mind went totally blank. I just stared. In my head I was like, "did you just ask me for porn coloring books?!"(Maybe I should "invent" this, I could be a millionaire)
They exist. A local adult store (the nice kind, not the sleazy kind) used to carry them.

Anyway, those adult coloring books... I LOVE this craze.
Craze? dover publications have been around since 1941, now it's just more people jumping on the bandwagon, I've bought their coloring books for the last 24(under advisement from my therapist at the time). Most of the offerings I've seen are awful compared to dover*.

*I've seen books of basically 60's wallpaper patterns, compared to dover "Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass window designs on vellum" or "Egyptian artwork", yeah dover wins hands down.
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

I got one of those grown up coloring books for Christmas. And I downloaded an app for my phone. I think I'm addicted, lol. But then, I've always loved to color. It's so relaxing.

Can't people who want fleece (or whatever) in a team's colours just sew together two (or three or whatever) fleeces of the appropriate colours?

We got calls every day for the Star Shower. No one was sucky, though. They understood. Anyway, every time I think of it I picture someone in the shower with stars projected on the tiles. My brain is weird.

Keytags for a free jr frozen dessert that Where's The Beef sells. We got 500 in the week before Thanksgiving. We sold all 500 by the first, maybe second week of December. 2014 going into 2015...we had a hard time selling keytags and had some available in January 2015. 2015 going into 2016...people bought keytags like crazy. So of course now that it's January 2016, people are asking if we have keytags for sale and they look at us like we're crazy when we tell them we sold out shortly after Thanksgiving.
