Intrusive Cashier

I have been reminded of these two giggly teenage girls during my cashier days. They came up to my line. One of them pulled a box of condoms out of her coat and handed it to me. I quickly scanned it, deactivated the anti-shoplifter sticker, and gave it right back to her, all without comment. To this day, I have no idea if they were genuinely embarrassed of they were trying to get a rise out of a male cashier. If they had played it straight, the customer behind them wouldn't have noticed. Yes, the customer behind them told me he noticed.

I didn't make a comment about their purchase, though.

Rude. Absolutely. I don't want cashiers making comments about my purchases unless it's of the "oh, these look good," variety. I get that when buying cookies or yogurt, sometimes. But anything that involves personal grooming, hygiene, etc? NOT ACCEPTABLE.
