I'm confused : How exactly can you not spell CIA ? As far as I know (not that I would know much, since I'm not a local, but...) it's pronounced See-Eye-Hay, whatever happens. What am I missing there ?

The only explaination I can provide is that, maybe, to that particular - should I say... special ? - individual, those are very complex words. Like, Vocabulary 102, or something ? I don't know.

I can't assume the spelling ability of someone I've never spoken to before, and I've had people frequently misspell all of these words.
