As a freelance photographer, I *should* know better, however this past Saturday night I showed up to my regular nightclub gig without checking my gear before hand. I did at least remember to bring a memory card and spares this time (have been caught out by this in the past) but what I forgot to check were my camera batteries.
In camera battery 1: 4%
In camera battery 2: 3%
Spare battery: 0%
Oops.
Luckily it was a quiet night, so not many photos were taken, and through turning the display brightness down to minimum, turning auto sensor clean off and switching the camera off between shots I managed to get through the gig with the in camera batteries finishing up at 2% and 1%.
