    im naughty

when im asked for my zipcode I tell them im not living here

having a NZ accent in both Canada and the UK is helpful sometimes
I've had customers with obviously foreign accents get a little pissy with me because I asked them for their zip. "I obviously don't live here!" (and do that, "geez, what a freaking dumbass" gesture/look to their companions), because apparently, I'm supposed to automatically know tourists from residents.

Does it kill people to just say... No?

    Yes, yes it does!
you are = you're. not "your".

What always killed me about this is people bitching about being sent marketing stuff and things they don't want.
You can simply put a note that says No Junk Mail Please on your mailbox and that entire problem will disappear.
I mean is it REALLY the end of the world if you get a flier in the mail?

And this whole, "I don't want anyone knowing where I live," logic is stupid. A postal code applies to several addresses so no one could pinpoint your house unless they went to the area with that postal code and waited outside until you came out of your house.

Some people are so utterly pathetic, and to bitch at an employee for being asked your postal code makes you a petty excuse for a human being.
