I dealth with a strange customer yesterday & today.
Yesterday:
He drove up to the Visitor Parking booth when there were cars exiting the facult/staff garage which is adjacent to Visitor Parking. He tells me "did you see that driver? He just hit me."
But...
I saw no one hit his car
So I said "which driver?"
So he said "the one who was wearing the "X" football team shirt."
I was guessing that was his attempt at humor because I work at a univeristy, & most likely the driver "who he said hit him" was wearing work attire.
Today:
Visitor Parking was reserved when he arrived. The full sign was on, & the big white sign stating Visitor Parking is closed for a special event was in front of the 2 gates at the Visitor Parking booth. He drives up to the booth window, which was open.
Here is how the conversation went.
strange guy: "So Visitor Parking is closed for a special event?"
me: "Correct"
stange guy: "Well.. I'm here for the special event."
me: "What is the name of the event you are here for today?"
strange guy:"The job fair."
*Career Services had the job fair last week. He was too late for that event*
me: "That was last week"
strange guy: "So when does the event end?"
me: "At 12 p.m."
strange guy: "But it is almost 12 p.m."
*I look at the time on the computer, & it is 10:30 a.m.*
me: "no, it is 10:30 a.m."
strange guy: "So I can move my car at 12 p.m.?"
me: "No, you can park at 12 p.m."
He leaves.
