      I have a question. You told her not to turn something off by unplugging it (computer) then told her to turn something off by unplugging it (modem). That didn't confuse her at all?

        I think I had made it clear to her that the computer needed to be shut down safely but the modem could simply be unplugged, as long as it was for at least a couple of minutes.

            I've told my Dad (who techno-dumb, at best) 100s of times "Don't click on anything, don't download anything". Yet I'm constantly cleaning out his computer.
