  • I need to convert some audio

from .m3u to something I can use.

I went into the .m3u files and pulled out the files that they pointed to; they are .ram files.

I need to find some way to get these files into one of the following formats: .mp3, .mov or .aif.

    Does anyone have any advice?
Because as we all know, on the Internet all men are men, all women are men and all children are FBI agents.

I've used Switch to convert WMA to MP3 and found it easy enough to use and it's free.... it is supposed to do M3U as well....

m3u is supposed to be playlists. ram is supposed to be real audio.

Anything which can handle realplayer should do the job. mplayer, if you're comfortable with command line, can do it.

What do you normally use to play these real audio files? The actual RealPlayer, or a different app?

That little program worked perfectly. Thank you so much. No one can stop me now!

If anyone really wants to know, I needed to down load two little songs from http://www.redhotjazz.com for a class project. I now have them on disc as mp3s, which is exactly what I needed. Thanks, It's me.

Personally, I believe that Real (the company responsible for RealPlayer) is the devil, so if I ever NEED to play one of their file formats, I use Real Alternative.

Gawd, I sound like an advertisement.

I'm going to have to remember that one. Haven't been to bash.org for a long time...
