MGM or EON? EON's had Bond forever. And MGM been around since the golden days of Hollywood.
    I guess I don't get the joke.
I was referring to IMT, which of course moviegoers are unfamiliar with since it's not a studio. Chalk it up to a bad pun on the title of the latest Bond film with a Sci-fi twist (hence the geek reference). Still, it would be interesting to see if anyone gets the reference.

Watched this tonight. I loved it. It felt like a Bond film, which the last one didn't.

Loved the DB5, the theme and the return of Q and Moneypenny to the series.

Probably because they realized "It's the 50th anniversary of 007, and if we don't get this one right, nobody'll ever give us the money for another one."

The one complaint I have is that they violated one of the key rules for M.

            Which would be?

I found the villain's plot to be too convoluted.

Spoiler: He caused a gas explosion in M's office to get them to move MI6 into the tunnels, so that when he was captured he could escape into the tunnels, to leave via the underground, meet up with his army of fake policemen to shoot M. Really?

And in the end {spoiler} he fails. He goes to Scotland to protect M. But she is killed.

Which would be they gave M a back story. Every other movie, M has been a complete mystery, but Ralph Feines M has a back story about his military career and how he came to the position and even his name, all things that we have never known about M before, and have been told can get you killed if you reveal that you know what those are.

That is true, but in the real world we know who is head of MI6 and where they are based. In fact the Real IRA attacked the building with a rocket, so attacks on MI6 are not fantasy.

Did anyone think this was better than Casino Royale? I can understand why people didn't like Quantam of Solace, but I've seen quite a few people say this was the best Daniel Craig film and I honestly can't say it was THAT good.

There was less exposition than CR. I enjoyed the chases more. The villain was better. Casino Royale felt over long, Skyfall didn't.

Finally saw it just last week.

There was a bit of a pacing issue during the "retreat to the manse" section, but otherwise, it was quite enjoyable.
