We got a little love-note over the holiday weekend from one of the managers. He basically scolded us for not having made more progress on testing product version X, especially on hardware Y.
Today, through other channels, we found out that product version X doesn't actually exist yet (they haven't decided on an Official Test This One Build)--and, as we already knew, there are about one-fifth as many pieces of hardware Y as we need to actually test it quickly.
... Thank goodness we are "focusing on quality" so that we aren't going to be pushed to simply get product out the door, huh?
