must be the skeptic in me but ... when I read this...

Either a scam or reboxing what is already available (Crest etc..).

Probably a scam, but it's possible that the doctor had pre-existing photos to act as the before, and then took after photos.

... and how often does your dentist take pictures (not x-rays) of your mouth? The only time I did was when I had braces.

Actually, mine took some on my first visit. I got more taken just before I had my wisdoms taken out, separate from the ones my orthodontist took. Finally, they also have copies of the ones my orthodontist took.
