  • Steve Jobs shuts down SC

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...l-replies.html

An SC emailed Steve Jobs to complain about having to pay to have their water-damaged MacBook Pro serviced by Apple. And he/she actually got a reply!

    Quoth Steve Jobs
This is what happens when your MacBook Pro sustains water damage. They are pro machines and they don’t like water. It sounds like you’re just looking for someone to get mad at other than yourself.
If only we could get away with bluntly telling customers the way things work like that!!

I love some of the responses in there.

A diagnostic fee is reasonable especially since most companies apply that if you do in fact need repairs.

Something tells me it's a little more than a diagnostic fee. Something tells me they are charging at least $300 to fix it, if they can.

I wonder if the first commenter, "Leo", was really Bill Gates?

Could be because I can't imagine Leo LaPorte saying such a thing . . .
