Ouch! I know how much that hurts - been there, done that. No fun at all. I'm glad you're not in as much pain now.

1000 mg of Tylenol every few hours? That's got to be over the safe dosage.

*Apparently* clenching your left hand into a fist helps suppress your gag relfex. Never tried it, so not sure of it's efficacy.
On July 19th I will be trying this! All the major work is complete so on that date I will be getting the impression done for my top plate I will definitely let you know if it works for me.

After all this time my top plate is finished! I'll be picking them up next week after payday It will be so weird to get used to having teeth (especially in the front of my mouth) again after so long. I almost didn't recognize myself with the plate in when the doctor handed me a mirror - I actually have a proper top lip with the dentures in!

I can not believe how freakin' excited I am for next week...I'm almost tempted to try to eat a steak the first night I have them. Almost. I'll probably stick to something soft for the first bit haha

Congratulations! My boss recently had his remaining teeth pulled -- oddly enough, he can still talk reasonably well, but I notice he's drinking a lot of smoothies lately. ;-)

That's awesome on the new teeth. You'll be eating steaks before you know it.

4 grams/24 hours is the max dosage. You start getting into liver toxicity over that. I forget how many times I heard the RPh on phone with a doc saying, "Are you trying to kill them?" because they prescribed, say, Vicodin, which has acetaminophen in it, and then Tylenol on top of it, which is also acetaminophen.

So, slight hiccup in the process. One of my anchor teeth broke a little over a week ago - before I intended to go in to pick up my dental plate - and I had it removed yesterday. But! With how the dental plate clips in and onto my teeth it is still entirely usable and so snug even without the molar that the plate will not budge without serious effort! So, after a very slight modification I will be going after work today to pick up my new teeth!!!!
