My brother-in-law doesn't work for GM but works for a major plant that supplies parts for Oshawa.
Already they're saying that about 300 people will lose their jobs at the end of December. He's safe since he's about 10th or so in seniority.
With both of them not working and having two children, it'll come back on me over the weekend if he doesn't go back to work because when my parents leave for the cottage, I'm the only one with a reliable source of money when I get paid on Thursday.
I think I also have several cousins and uncles working in GM Oshawa, but I don't know which ones.
