Coworker had to put in extra hours one night this weekend.
Coworker did his usual whine and sulk routine (he's like that about anything he doesn't want to hear or do), and found a way to work a few less hours than required.
Now, to an extent, I could see showing up for the extra shift and not saying that you aren't staying the entire shift, because usually, people tend to try and guilt people into staying longer and whatnot.
He thought it would be just hilarious to make the shift lead think he was going to break, instead of going home. He texted me earlier how funny it was "I don't think she knows I actually left!"
And this is the person who is always complaining about how "stupid" and most importantly "rude" everyone is towards him.
Gee, this puzzle is so hard to figure out, isn't it?
I don't like being forced to work extra hours, nor do I like some of the people you have to deal with when working with other shifts, but I'm not pulling childish nonsense like that when I know it will always come back and bite me.
