At 5 minutes after 8, our internet went down. After resetting the modem, our internet came back online, but our connection to the main branch did not. Calling the main branch, we learned they had no internet. And since nearly all of our work is done via the servers at the main branch, we cannot do most of our work.
We have no access to the mainframe. No loan or deposit software. No email. Our ATM is down. Our online banking is down. The tellers can't look up accounts or print receipts. We can't even use our VOIP lines to call the main branch - we have to dial long distance.
3-1/2 hours later, it's still down, and nobody can give us an ETA for when it will be fixed. But bank management refuses to call it and send everybody home. So we sit here doing nothing.
