First, we had coloring books at the entrance of the bookstore for $5, though within the store there are coloring books (really specific ones, like for Game of Thrones or Star Wars) that cost much more.
Second, we had a bargain bin. First, things were 50% off, then 75% off, then $2. Everything in the bargain bin will scan for $2.
Third, some other bargain books have a price sticker in front with a cheaper price, but most of the time the barcode on the back isn't covered so if you don't pay attention you as the cashier will scan the back barcode, which is the more expensive price (now out in the real world, I do pay attention when I get a bargain item to see if it is scanned at the bargain price; I wish the cashier would pay attention, but I just train myself to look out that the bargain price is scanned; I don't get mad at the cashier).
One day a woman walks in and wants me to keep for her behind the counter 2 $5 coloring books so she can shop some more and not carry them.
About an hour latter the woman comes back with 2 baskets of bargain items, each item marked off as $2. So I'm scanning them and I didn't notice two items had stickers in front; I just scanned the back sticker. So at one point the woman is mad that I scanned 2 items at regular price when they are $2. So I void the old price and scan the right price (I did double check the price, they were suppose to be $2). Then I scan the 2 $5 coloring books she gave me when she walked in. She then gets mad that there are 2 items ringing up as $5. I tell her, "those are the coloring books you got from the front of the store." She replies, "I know where I got them," in a nasty way. No, she doesn't argue with me that they need to be $2, she realizes that $5 is the price.
So there are 4 different size bags. I put most of her books in the X-large bags, and had 4 books I put in the large bags. But no, she wants those 4 books in the large bag be placed in a x-large bag. *sigh* I should be glad she wasn't demanding that I carry her bags to her car.
