Both those last two messages by Rosco are image-less, indeed empty except for his signature.
Hmm. They work for me. Firefox on Linux & Win7.

Firefox on Ubuntu here. Noscript has everything allowed, ABP doesn't show anything blocked.

I can see them, but note my previous post -- I've had several images just disappear on me (we've looked into it server-side, no luck) after a few weeks, almost all of them from Rosco's posts.

I'll admit that the last time I bought wipers for my Escape I let the counter guy put them on for me and I didn't feel the least bit ashamed.
I fill up my own blinker fluid.

I admit I do too, and let them replace the bulbs. Between my height (I have to crawl on the bonnet to reach the wipers, risking denting it, and lay on the engine to reach the light units) and my dexterity issues (historic carpal tunnel, current beginnings of arthritis, generally being clumsy as s@&$) it's just easier to pay a professional to do it.

OK well that I can see.
Also there are some wipers I have to go out the put in for the "dealer certified" mech. Then again I'm not surprised I don't have to tie his shoes in the AM
BUT some you do need the "knack" to put on.

Otherwise I want to punch your man card.

Rosco - Consider imgur.com. Free image hosting that is designed to be hot-linkable

Much the same here. The last time I bought a car, I went with the dealer that had good word-of-mouth rather than choosing a brand first. I take the car back there for the standard maintenance (oil change, etc.). Discoveries over the years: On cold mornings, they bring a portable air compressor out to the service line to top off tire pressures (after confirming that that that the pressure is uniformly low rather than a possible leak) without payment or paperwork. The time I bought windshield wiper blade refills from the parts desk, he sent me through the service line for free installation. And when they realized that I had a brake light out (possibly when replacing the wiper blades), they didn't charge for that at all.
