    ...And yet I keep hearing that bacon will supposedly cease to exist by some point in my lifetime...>_< I have noticed that this surplus is doing absolutely nothing to reduce bacon prices.

        I 'member-berry hearing about this "supply and demand" thing back in school actually causing prices to go DOWN when surpluses exist, rather than just the opposite. Guess my teachers WERE wrong

              Aye, I know. I am familiar with the practice of using farm subsidies in order to shore up prices by paying farmers NOT to over-produce Nothing wrong with that. Thing is, even with that, we have a surplus for now.
