Got a heads up about a new job with a start up company that even tough I have ZERO exp or training- it's kind of specialized so no one else does either so I fit all the other needs of regional and Int travel, can do detailed reports on cargo damage and talk to about anyone to sort out what happen and do tests.
Pays 10k more a year then anything I'd get at La Dee Dodge other then owning it.
That to start- I get to build this- as I get more work, more people and lastly more locations - it will go up from there
This is based out of the UK and the main expert/trainer is at the France office.
So it's taken a year to get everything set--it is.
So the USA boss needs me to interview with the main guy who's intown.
At his house,
sitting around his fire circle,
with scotch and cigars.
A normal interview what they want/req/being a new venture areas they are not sure of like how to train me.
My history and things I've done. None of that- "if you were a shape what shape would be the best for us" questions.
I start some time in Oct- after they figure out if/what visa I would need to do a month training in London.
Main guy asked what I felt about doing 1-2 months in England training
"I already have my passport"
OK then.
So happy to get out of auto ind
Do something worthy of my time
Something that has growth and goals other then not just stay awake till 5 o'clock.
Also got points when I asked what football team should I root for there.
(all I know is Manchester United and that would of gotten me booed out so good thing)
