  • One day, 3 state parks

Hubs, the dog, and I went to Whidbey Island yesterday. We took lots of photos. I blogged about it.

So jealous!!! Maybe the hubby and I will have to go up that way for the day. Fort Worden is another great park with bunkers. My Grandparents lived above it and I spent a lot of time there. Plus Officer and a Gentleman was filmed there.
Coffee should be strong, black and chewy! It should strip paint and frighten small children.

That's pretty cool. I just visited a fort in Detroit over the weekend.

State parks are such a resource, and a blessing. I'm so glad there's such a thing as state parks. I've been to a number of them, under the 'road trip' guise: the destination as well as the journey (... or breaks!) are just as important, and fun.
It looks hot in the pictures. bleh.
EDIT: o_O man. the environmental differences between Michigan and Washington... always surprising. It looks so lush and cool.
