    http://us.akinator.com/

My boyfriend sent me the link. I've been rather addicted to it since, trying to see how easily I can trip it up.

Sometimes I did - like with "Cynthia Noble" (Donna Noble's mother from Doctor Who)
but other names it guessed correctly...

From Doctor Who - The Doctor, Sarah Jane, the Tardis, K9, Jack, Donna, Wilf, Rassilon (after a couple of false starts).

Heh.. it even guessed Shadow from American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

I'm looking at my bookshelf now, trying to think of other ways to beat the genie...

It took him 3 rounds to get Ben Franklin.

Edit: I got to add Max Von Stephanitz.

It took him 3 rounds to get Tsu'Tey (Avatar).

*lol* One question: Are you human? (No) I guess Bette Davis.

He didn't get Strongheart or Jean (Vitagraph dog) but he did get Rin Tin Tin in 3 rounds.

It seems the question script isn't the best. It once asked if my character was a woman 3 times in a row.

My first one was Juliet Burke from Lost. I giggled when her picture showed up.

Defeated him with Doci, the Ori leader from SG-1.

I dance a small jig in triumph.

Holy balls, it guessed Rand al'Thor, exactly who I thought of. That was... Jeez. Blew my mind.

Played a few more times, it only had to go to round 2 once, to get John Sherridan from Babylon 5. This thing's pretty good.

              He got Tom Sawyer!

I had to start over, though, cuz I accidentally said he wasn't human, I hit so many "no"s in a row

He didn't get my boyfriend's viking character.

He did get Tim Minchin however

My boyfriend got me to try HIM, and it came up with "your lover."

I managed to trip it up with Sailor Mars (although it guessed it when I did the ten extra questions) and again with Mike Rann (Premier of South Australia). (first time it guessed Malcolm Turnbull, then Tony Abbott, then Kevin Rudd.)

He never got Martha Jones, though he did guess wrong with The Doctor.
                  Random conversation:
Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
                  DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

Defeated him with Brandon Sanderson, writer of Elantris and the Mistborn series.

Guesses included Marc Jacobs, R.A. Salvatore, and Max something-or-other (can't remember...)

Go me! I beat a genius!

Tried Mikael Akerfeldt (singer of Swedish band Opeth)... he got it.

Tried Basil Chronus (villian from comic Godland)... and won!

A sandwich isn't a legitimate choice for the game, though. That'd be like picking "gun" in rock-paper-scissors.

He didn't get Anne Bishop (got Meg Cabot instead?).

                            He did guess Lestat! Yay!

I know . I tried some silly things to see what would happen. For instance, always choosing "yes" "no" or "I don't know" He caught on to my trickery, however.

Now, I did defeat him with Bob Taft, former Ohio Governor.
