Yeah I started out with a $75 machine from wally world.
Just bought my 4th machine. - Nothing really fancy. 3rd machine is still in Chicago for repairs.
When I bought my 3rd machine, the salesperson asked me how much I sew. She suggested that I clean and oil my machine weekly. 3rd machine went 7 years before it needed major service.
When I bought my 4th machine the salesperson again asked how much I sew. i told her 8-10 hours daily. She told me to clean and oil daily, and "if you do to this machine what you did to that other one, I'll come to your house and snatch you bald!" O_O Yes ma'am.
