  • Cassettes may be making a comeback...

Is this a case of "What's old is new again"?

Oh, good, since I still have my old Walkman cassette player
When you start at zero, everything's progress.

At least it's not 8-track tapes. I don't want to see that *click* take off again.
This site proves Corey Taylor right. Man really is a "four letter word."

I'm now using my Deviant Art page to post my humor.

Frankly, I'm not as convinced of this comeback as I am with that of vinyl. Of course, I have far more turntables than cassette decks, so perhaps I'm a bit biased. Most of the pre-recorded tapes I've dealt with weren't made very well; a commercially-bought cassette copy of Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon lasted only a few months before it started jamming up my tape decks. I can only hope that this leads to companies like Maxell bringing back higher-end Type II and IV 'metal' blank tapes (all they offer now are low-end Type Is), but I'm not holding my breath..........
