He did notice how worried I was about Really Big Craft Show and that he needs the back the f off of me. That the house isn't always going to look perfect - and that I will do a big clean just before Really Big Craft Show.

I reminded him that we are supposed to be partners and that I did not make the kids myself. And that if I cook - he can damn well clean up.

Good for you. Although I can't help thinking that if the house needs a Really Big Clean, why can't he do at least some of it? I mean, his job lasts from 9-5 or whatever. Your "job"--everything you do for the house, the kids and for him, not even counting the quilting--lasts from when you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night.

And I bet if he started his own business, he would expect love and support from you.
