Bad News for Sonic 2 HD fans

It seems that the recently released alpha of the game has a keylogger in it.

in a way i'm not entirely surprised either.

it's not an official sonic product after all but a fan-made program. at least that's what it looks like.


granted i know not all fan-based programs are virus-ridden but it's something to consider when you download stuff.

You need to some of the links at the site you linked to. It is NOT a keylogger. It's bad programming by the former lead programmer which some antivirus programs are reacting to.

Fair enough and when I had linked it, it was believed that it was a keylogger.

That said, with all the problems this project is having, I would be genuinely surprised if it made it to a final release.
