So we were doing face painting for Canada Day because that seems to be the default here now when it comes to kids.
First of all, if your kid is too young to sit up by himself then he's too young to be face painted.
If your kid can't handle simple directions like looking up (even my dog understands that one.) then if you really must get the best face painted then at least don't pick the most complicated one you can think of.
If your kid wants Spider-Man give him Spider-Man.... Stop trying to dictate what your kid should have when you clearly don't understand why your 6yr son doesn't want a damn butterfly.
I try to get it looking as best as possible. Sometimes your lil' monster moves a bit and other times he wiggles around so much he all but face plants into the paint. If the kid stays still (as much as most kids stay still) then you get better results. Also, what do you care if the pink and purple aren't perfectly blended in a proper curve? It's not like your paying for anything and I'm not being paid quite well enough to use a damn ruler.
