It's TEACHER TIME!

I finally got everything sorted out today with the manager of the local swim school (or not so local in my case). So I start next Thursday with the 4-year-olds.

Basically I watch 2-3 classes, I take part of 4 classes and then I COMPLETELY take four classes at varying levels. I am taking everything from 4-year-olds up until the 13-14-year-old kids. So this will be interesting...

And on top of that, while the manager said that she wasn't looking for anybody at the time, she was definitely willing to consider me if a spot opened up by the end of my training, so fingers crossed!

Basically the swim school I'm going to be training with is part of a statewide chain. They have two "infant" classes, which are the waterbabies and the kindergarten class, after that the classes are given names such as Starfish, Marlin, Bluefin and so on.
They do have squads, but I'm not getting involved with those.

on top of that, the parents are required to sit in a separate area AWAY from the pool area (which has a glass barrier), so I'm not constantly getting badgered by a parent every five seconds. If they have an issue with me in any way shape or form, they can bring it up with the deck supervisor, who sort of acts like an on-duty lifeguard, but is also higher up in the food chain than me.

I will be supervised constantly by another instructor while I'm being trained.

The manager was also VERY impressed when I rocked up the other day with not only the original copies of my CPR and police check, but also photocopies for her records
