So, the job search has been long and arduous. I had some hopeful prospects, but it turned out I wasn't qualified for them.
I did get a slightly hopeful morale booster yesterday. A month ago, Crow Haven Corner, one of the most prominent shops in Salem, was accepting applications for people to hand out fliers on Essex Street. If you go to Salem during Summer you'll see them.
I stopped in yesterday to follow up on the ap. The young lady whom I gave the application to said she remembered me and that next month they'd be going through them. I would definitely be considered.
It's a really huge leap from "You're hired", but hopefully it's something.
Wish me luck, burn a green candle, and/or send me your prayers.
