My Uncle is acting like a total idiot. Yea i know its not right to call your family members that but you'll find out the reason i call him that.
My uncle got laid off from his job and he has been unemployed for over a year. Now he has a "part time" job which wouldn't be so bad...BUT.... He goes from store to store with his brother, lets call him Uncle Idiot 2 in his pick up truck which has a full bed in the back to gather bales of cardboard from various stores in the back such as safeway, alberstsons, target, wal-mart, etc. On a good day they'll hit 4-5 stores and gather 2 bales of cardboard per store. each bale is roughly worth $25-$50 so in total they may end up with $125-$250 a day. He told me what he does is wait for the backdoors to recieving close for lunch or for the day then gathers the bales left outside. On the weekends he gathers EVEN MORE cardboard bales. He tells me that once he finds a more steadier job then he'd go 'part time' on his cardboard deal or even less. I told him that what he is doing is sort of illegal and he can be busted if they press charges. He tells me that once its outside its public property. So then i tell him that it is NOT public property and that it belongs to said store. that the money gotten for the bales of cardboard goes to THEM. He won't listen to reason. Other members of the family have offered to put him up for a while until he gets a job. Hell, his own sister's husband has even offered to HIRE him on the spot and he'd be given 20-30 hours a week and have a weekly paycheck given to him. Do you think he's interested? He says he is but still goes after his stupid bales of cardboard. I hate to do it but if the cops get called on him then i'm not going to bail him out of jail. He has to learn somethime.
