So the swamp is rolling out a couple new things just in time for Christmas and I'm going to be asked to try them out.
First, our online store is close to ready for its auspicious (cough cough) launch, and they're asking store employees to test it out and notify them of any bugs. We can even buy something and use our employee discount. Sometime we're supposed to get little cards with a log-on and password since it isn't ready for the public yet.
And then my district is going to be testing out this third-party service that offers delivery, assembly and set-up of furniture, electronics, and other big, bulky items. This may or may not be a good idea, depending on how competent the third-party service is. It will also provide me with new sales opportunities. ("Hey Irv, you going to come to my house and put this together for me, hyok! Kahilk!" "No, but for a few bucks more, I can set you up with somebody who will."
