I've been applying on and off to a "local" (chain, but the only location in this state) computer retailer as a technician. The most recent round of interviews/testing (through a state agency for on-the-job evaluation) was last month. I impressed HR, passed all the testing...but no call. The job coach was almost ready to give up on them, until...
I get a call today, the service dept. supervisor wants me to come in for testing tomorrow! I'm not sure if this is a result of last month's round of stuff, or the app I submitted on my own last year, but it's something.
The issue is going to be the paperwork that needs to be filled out for the evaluation which can take upwards of two months (the company needs to be a vendor of the state to be reimbursed by the agency for this program).
We shall see...if they want me they want me and the decision may not be able to wait for paperwork.
