Got a wrong number call today from someone who seemed to have been enjoying some Colorado Herb. Hasn't called back so either he got ahold of whoever he was trying to reach, realized he miss-dailed, or was too out of it to realize anything was off.

My sister's cell phone is one digit off from the Bullseye Pharmacy and a ritzy spa in a local hotel. So every time I get her voice message I'd hear "If you're calling for the pharmacy dial XXX-XXXY. If you're calling for the spa desk, dial XXX-XXYY."
Our family favorite, though, was that there was a lady in our hometown whose work phone number was one digit off my folks' home number. She had two children - one with a name very similar to mine, another with the same name as my brother. So we'd call:
"Hey Mom it's wordgirl"
"Yeah?"
"I need to be picked up from play practice."
"OK. I'll be there in a .... Wait. You're not in a play!"
In a sitcom, she and mom would have ended up best buddies, but IRL, we just got more careful about dialing numbers
