Yes, I realize it's too much to ask customers to read. Particularly signs at eye level...But gods damn it, that is the exit door! As such, it only opens from the inside! See me standing there, pointing to your right? That there's the entry door. Go the f*ck over there, you'll get in far easier. No, I will not move away from my register to activate the door. I'm with a customer. Haul your lazy ass down the sidewalk a touch.
Had a customer sneak into the store through the exit door, and it nearly shut on her ass (no, her real ass)
"Your door's broken!"
R: *having watched said dipshit* "No, it's on 'Out only' as per Corporate. As such, it doesn't register people walking in."
"That's a safety hazard!"
R: "Only if you can't read."
"I have a return."
Just today, I had a customer with young kids in my line. I get most of the way through the transaction, and watch one of her kids go over and stand in the exit doorway.
R: *as I see the door start to close* "Get away from the door! It won't..."
GM (Grandmother, as I think she said something about 'Grammy's gonna take you to McDonald's"): *looks up, and goes insane* "Get in here!"
Kid gets in by the skin of his teeth, and door flips open again.
R: "Yeah, that door only registers people going out."
