Was walking home in the pouring rain today (having just discovered a giant split in the side of one of my shoes while waiting for the train 
), when a nice customer who recognized me from work stopped and offered me a ride the rest of the way. I was pretty well soaked by then, but he still saved me a good five minutes' worth of walking, so thanks a lot, friend!
