  • Hi again ...

Used to be here under this same name -- although to be honest, I don't remember whether I spelled it "Pixilated" or "Pixelated" -- the latter, I believe, is the correct spelling (not that it matters ).

Still working retail, although I've had an interesting (and very short) detour. I'm starting to like retail, and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing ...

Anyway, nice to see many of the favourites are still here and reporting, and nice to see a lot of new faces as well!

Pedantry: "Pixel" is short for "Picture Element". An image that as suffered quality degradation by being converted into (too few) pixels is said to suffer from "pixelation".

Though I suppose that someone in a fantasy setting, being set upon by small woodland sprites, could be "pixielated"...

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

I know I was thinking of the "pixel" word when I chose my name the first time ... but if I signed up in the wee hours, it could've easily ended up being (misspelled though it was) "pixilated."

Or you could have just finished reading an L. Sprague deCamp (and Katherine Crook deCamp) novel.

I have never heard of that one. I must remedy that, pronto!
