Hey all. I first joined up here in...'99, maybe '98? as Dayshift. I've since rejoined and rejoined as the board went through multiple hacks and other terrible things. I finally stopped registering a couple of years ago, as I'd told all my stories and had no new ones to relate.
Well, I finished college in '04, with a BA. I'm now working towards an MA in Creative Writing/English. And I teach Freshman Composition 101/102...after doing that for a semester, I started thinking of this site again, go figure. Glad to know it's still around, even if Mr. Slugger has moved on to bigger and better endeavors.
I may have a story or two to tell - shoot, since so many students see education as something that is to be purchased (customers), instead of something to better themselves... I have a bunch of sucky stories now. And a whole bunch of issues with entitlement, if you have the time.
