My faith in humanity always drops a little more each time I read a story like this, and the others posted here. I cannot count the number of times I've been to a store and found they were out of what I wanted, or even a dining establishment. One time my wife and I ate at a Sonny's BBQ and they were out of baked potatoes. So, the substitute most people were eating was french fries, and not one person got theirs for free, as far as I know. However, upon leaving, we noticed several tables that had plates full of uneaten french fries.
It makes me wonder, why did this guy not protest at the drive-thru once your co-worker told him they didn't have what he wanted? Sounds like a set up.
