  • Happy to meet everyone!

Long time lurker. I'm a retired medical transcriptionist who is also an avid amateur astronomer, avid sewist, voracious reader, and overall cat person. I manage a small feral cat colony, and have three older cats who are indoor pets. I'm married to a school bus driver.

Hyea, Turtle! I've helped with feral colonies as well, and I volunteer at a local shelter. As well as having 2.75 kitties at home. (3.75, if you count the wife, who is a Leo. ) Welcome to the forums!

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

One of our boys is a tripod. Happened before we adopted him.

Except that I live in a place where it rains a lot this time of year, so I won't get to see much until summer. Incidentally, there's a total solar eclipse where totality will run through the middle of the U.S. on August 21, 2017. Totality for Oregon is Salem, and I'm not that far away so I'm going to go see it.

Hell, take a cat or two along.A black cat in a place called Salem in the middle of an eclipse. Something interesting could very well happen...maybe a demon summoning or two?
