  • "I'm in uniform!"

Anyways, I traded days off this week with my boss so she can take a trip with her family. So I had opening duties today. We don't open until 7:30 every morning but I had to be there at 7:20 so I can get all the computers started up and get everything ready to go. So while I'm doing all this, I hear a quick bang on the door and look up. There's a woman outside peeking into the building. Well, there's no way in hell I'm letting her in early. She can wait for a few minutes. So I continue rushing around and getting everything ready to open. 7:30 finally hits and I unlock the door and she comes in.

I ask her name, she tells me and I take the patient file back to the technicians so they can look it over and put her in a room. Her dog is there for a neutering and consoltations usually take about five to ten minutes and then the owner leaves and then comes back later to pick up the pet at about four or five. Anyways, I come back to the front where she is.

Oh...I forgot to mention, I work near the Air Force Academy so we get alot of active military in uniforms and she happened to be in one.

Me: I just took your file back and someone will be up with you shortly.
SC: I was told to drop him off at 7:30. DO YOU NOT SEE THIS UNIFORM?! I HAVE TO GET TO WORK.

    Quite frankly...I don't give a damn.

Me: Well, we are still getting everything together for you and someone will be up with you shortly.
SC: So you're saying they're not ready for me yet?
    Me: No.

Other receptionist heard it and couldn't believe it. Other techs heard about it and were suprised. Clients here are worse then the customers I've dealt with at walmart. Anyways, she still has to come pick up her dog today. So we'll see how it goes and I hope it takes the techs forever to bring him up to her.

    Well...back to work I go.

Hmm... I assume that the techs have to shave before they can do work...Perhaps someone with "shaky" hands can do that task

Aw, her dog doesn't deserve to suffer because she's a b*tch...poor pooch probably suffers enough with her as its owner.

And yes, I do believe dogs can look embarrassed

When my cat got spayed her fur took forever to grow back. She was all pink belly with gray polka dots for a couple weeks at least.

Sunset, I'm so sorry to hear that you have to deal with the asshats from Peterson AFB, and from the one I forget the name of that's also down in the Springs. I know people who went on the the Academy (I went to a military Prep school for a while) and some of them were the biggest pricks BEFORE they were accepted. I can't even begin to imagine what they're like now that they've graduated and moved on to active duty.

On the plus side, my boyfriend lives down that way. I'll be more than happy to take you out for a drink sometime and comiserate!

Yea, I heard her say that she worked at the Air Force Academy. I don't think we get many people from Peterson because it's on the other side of town. As for comiserating, that could be fun!

I had my younger dog neutered just last week. It didn't make me late for work.

                Wanna know why?

I put some forethought into it and made his appointment on my day off.

Honestly, how hard is it to schedule your time properly?

Now I feel sorry for the dog, having such a bitchy owner

Hopefully she's not bitchy to the dog, animal creulty laws are a joke.

Sunsetsky, can I play with they puppies and kitties? I don't mind if they weigh more than me.

*snicker* Last year my cat got the end of her tail bit off by one of my mom's cats. So she had to have more amputated (it's average length now btw) so it could close over and heal properly. I need to find the photos I took after her bandage came off....... big fluffy furry tail and BANG! skinny shaved-off RAT tail. She was quite experienced at giving me DELTCK* by the time it grew in I was at her so much.

I know, my cat got spayed two months ago. While most of her hair has grown back, you can still easily tell where she got shaved.

Although they shaved a lot more off than I thought they would.

Fat Cat's hair never grew back properly after being fixed.

Now she has what looks like her belly hanging down between her hind legs, but it's just a huge lump of excess fur. She is fat, but her belly is where it should be. It just looks odd!

I love people in uniform. Kind of like the National Guardsmen that decided since the Armory was closer to my gas station than the high schools nearby, that they were going to do all of their recruiting at the gas station, including harrassing EVERY employee there to join?

I don't care that you are in uniform or that you're a Lt or General or whomever. If you're going to act like a prick and break store policy, I can kick you and your uniform right the fuck out of the store if I please.

Oh Yes the Cat looks that could kill

My baby Casino gets a haircut every summer because being a part time outdoor cat he gets too hot with the four to six inches of fur all over. I really don't need a vet bill for heat stroke treatment. But he just won't let me get the belly fur, so every summer Casino sports a belly mohawk.

Yes that is him in my avatar
                            Meeeeoooow.....

That reminds me of the time my dog Murray 'broke' himself. He was neutered, so we foolishly thought it would be ok to have him around female dogs. We were wrong

I guess he and our other dog had themselves a good time and . . . well, to put it politely, he was walking around, doubled over in pain, and the pistol refused to be holstered. We took him to the vet (who was disgusted with the situation, lol) to have everything tucked back into place, and I had the worst time keeping a straight face while we paid the bill and left with him. They had put one of those cones on his head to keep him from licking himself and pulling the stitches, and his butt was shaved completely bald. On breeds like Border Collies, this looks odd. It didn't help that two young boys were curiously trying to look down the cone to see if it really was a dog in there, and Murray was also wobbling all over the place like a drunkard from the meds they gave him.

I shouldn't laugh, I really shouldn't, but . . . especially when I gave him treats or scraps and he put his face to the ground to get them He looked like a vacuum with legs and a tail.

However, being the thing that he is, he was oblivious to the fact that we laughed at him. I guess that's the difference between cats and dogs.
