  • Sorry, But Your Brittany Isn't THAT Spe-shul!

So, I was up to my earlobes in paperwork needing filed (darn those football tailgaters that can't park legally!) when the phone rings.

Towing Manager (TM) was too quick on the draw for me and got it first, so I was treated to just his half of the following conversation

-Friendly Neighborhood Towing, Towing Manager speaking
    -Uh huh
    -Uh huh
    -Where?
    -When?
-Yes Sir that vehicle was towed for not having a permit for that lot
    -No Sir, it's Private Property
    -No Sir, it's Private Property
-No, Private Property means it's the owner's perogative if they will have illegaly parked cars towed
-No, it's the property owner's decision
    -No, property owner's decision
    -No, you needed a permit
-Not without a permit, if you know you're going to be there, you need to call ahead and get one
-No, it doesn't work that way, if the owner of that property wants your vehicle removed they are allowed to do that under Borough Ordinance
-If you were there for an hour, that's 45 minutes longer than we have to wait before towing, Borough Ordinance says 15 minute minimum
    -No, it's Private
    -No, It's Private
    -No, it's Private
-No, that's our job, and we can't tow unless the property owner wants us to, and they do, see what I'm saying? Now have a nice day. *click*

Me- SOmeone fuzzy on the concept of "Permit Parking Only"? Huh?
TM- Actually, he wasn't upset about that, he just felt he should get some kind of discount because he was just there to see his daugher and she's a cheerleader.
Me- Cheerleaders are above the law these days?
TM- I dunno, but he kept repeating himself, "My DAUGHTER IS A CHEERLEADER!! CAN'T YOU CUT ME A BREAK?!"
Me- Huh, never heard that one before....

(Office Lady now sticks head into door)

OL- Hey guys, I've got the University Police on line 1, they need a wrecker up by the chem lab for an illegaly parked car
Me- It doesn't belong to a cheerleader does it?
TM- Yeah, they're immune to towing
    OL- *confused look* *leaves room*

    - They say nothing good happens at 2AM, they're right, I happen at 2AM.

*shakes head* Everyone knows that you have to leave a pair of pompoms on the parcel shelf or the back seat! Then the tow truck guy can see that it's a cheerleader's car!

Oh sweet. No one's done this yet. Now picture me in a tight (girl's) cheerleader's outfit and swinging PomPoms.

        Give me an N!
        Give me an O!
        Give me a Permit.
What's that, you don't have one?
        Well sucks to be Y-O-U.

At least shave your knobbly legs, will you? That image just put me off drinking the rest of my very nice coffee, thanks SO much.

I thought it would be a reference to Brittany Spears but I guess you mean th char. from Glee.

Well of course cheerleaders' cars are exempt from towing. Everyone knows that.

Too bad for the guy who got towed that he was not a cheerleader, but the father of a cheerleader. They're not nearly as special as their cheerleader daughters, don't ya know.

I would have gone with Brittany from Daria, who as also a Cheerleader.

When I saw the title, I initially thought: What did that niece of mine do this time?!
                    Different Brit....what a relief.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

I thought Britney from Daria. I guess it's just one of those names, just like my name is often given to preppy characters.

While I get the reference from all the commercials, I have to admit that I am one of the few people that never saw a single episode of Heroes. It did look good, though.

Jester if you ever do watch, just stop after the first season. Trust me. The story is well done and laid out and then everything just goes to shit.
