These aren't sucky questions, just things that make me go "Hmmm." Now these chat questions aren't associated with my library, but since we are part of a co-opeative, we monitor questions for other libraries.
-Hi I need to find out if a book that I put on hold is ready for pick up please.
I go to the website of that person's library and see a button that says "Patron info." Since I don't have an acct. with that library, I can't enter it, but if it's anything like my library, when you go to your account, you can see if any of your items are ready for p.u. Granted, she might have wanted to be 2x sure, but it would have been better if she called.
-I am doing a travel brochure on scotland for social studies and I was wondering, what do Scottish people do for fun? (recreation, etc.)
It's a legitamite question. Of course, being me, I want to answer, "The Scots enjoy watching porn and drinking beer."
Kid wants to know which order does Vampirates books are in.
This one annoys me, since he could google it to find out, or go to Amazon, or even check his catalog. Most catalogs will tell you which number the book is in the series.

why can't people contact microsoft? Or google it?
