SC: You haven't heard the last of me. (then hung up)
What is she, a comic book villain? I got this mental image of her shaking her fist in the air before wooshing off in her evil-mobile. It sounds like she was on a power trip, particularly the 'I don't hear you calling me Mizz Jones' business. (you call 'im Doctah Jones, lady!)

I'd guess she probably was so out of control in her own life that once she found she could be over the top bossy with helpless phone CSR's, she got hooked. It'd explain the monthly habit. So would PMS.

As to the OP, holy bat guano. I honestly have to wonder if he ever had the guts to try that in a retail store, or just got brave on the phone. I'd have been sorely tempted to turn the tables on him too when he asked for ID or extension numbers.

SC: What is your ID number??
    CSR: 7... (pause, wait)
    SC: Just 7??
    CSR: No, it's 7..... 2........(pause, wait)

and so on. Not that I would, but ohhhh so tempting.

Wow, now that is just ridiculous. I can't believe that someone would even think it was normal to expect you to read out a number one... at... a... time...

Oh wait, when are things ever normal around here? :P

SC: I will ask however I damn well please and as long as its in English they will answer me back no matter when I ask.

See, that's where my conversation would have ENDED.

Any bets he hasn't bothered reading the TOS? Since they don't apply to him, since he has his own policies in place...
The ex says that one has the right to cross off any part of a contract they don't agree with (this came up in response to something where that right did not apply). Does the guy call up his card companies and go over everything in the T&C he doesn't agree with?

@Dreamstalker: We are a prepaid service, so they don't sign anything. We have a basic disclaimer on all of out products. Something to the tune of "By purchasing this product you agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions which can be found at <company website> or are available by request by calling <company number> or writing <company address>"

OMG greensinestro, that's terrible what you went through.

I just can't get how people go on these power trips.

particularly the 'I don't hear you calling me Mizz Jones' business. (you call 'im Doctah Jones, lady!)
Ah, Shortround. Oh, the "doctor" reminds me of this Entitlement Prick who introduced himself as "Doctor Williams" and his e-mail address was Dr. Williams2000@hotmail.com. Yeah, a real doctor wouldn't have an address that was part of a university or hospital or something big. Ok, maybe 10% of doctors, but the man was so full of crap that I doubt he passed a H.S. equivalancy examination.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

                Quick question:

Which are the worst entitlement whores...college students or the elderly?

Relatively speaking I would have to say I have never heard more complaining from people than I have since starting back to college.

As to who the larger EW's are.... I really can't say. I don't think age really plays into this. Once an EW, (almost) always an EW.

As a college student I agree with this 100% while students tend to whine the most (i have no clue why but some do - probably a independence issue).

I've seen seen entitlement whores of all ages from chatty colege girls who claimed our frontrow Duke vs UNC basketball seats (that wasnt cheap btw) and then cussed up out when we got as usher to escort them back to their cheap seats to old ladies who think that we MUST bag their groceries exactly they way they desire, no i don't have time to sort your cans into veggies soups and various broths and evaporated milks!

Ah. So he's saying "I don't want to read the website/write the company/call, therefore none of it applies to me".
