Customer in my line yesterday, "Wow, you're all out of Father's Day cards!"


Why didn't you grab a card, like, a week ago?? Or did it sneak up on you without you realizing it?

We didn't get our graduation cards out at the usual time they would've been out. They're done by an outside vendor, we just get the deliveries. The woman who handles our store also happens to work for my company and she was out with an injury while the whole lockdown thing was going on. Eventually we did get them out but it's amazing how people take something like that so personal.

The fact that stuff like that still surprises me shows I still have a sliver of humanity left and retail hasn't completely gotten rid of my soul.
I would have a nice day, but I have other things to do.
