i like it! the way the mood is set really speaks to me.

There's just one sentence i can't really place: "MacLeod had been a bootlegging bust. "
as i get it, Both Macleod and Cordigan were doing a bootlegging bust, no? Or is it a turn of phrase often used that i'm unfamiliar with, could be!

well, on an entire story me just ranting about one sentence just means: well written!
