Ok, here's a little background for this story.
In the city the city does the garbage pickup. To pay for the pickup the customers customers buy city garbage bags from retailers (there's also the option to rent a bin, but this doesn't apply to this story). They come in a box of 25 rolls of bags, and cost the retailer $500, with a rebate of $1 given to the retailer (yeah, a "wonderful" margin).
This old bag comes in and wants 2 rolls of the garbage bags. When told it'd be $40, well, you can guess what happened next. The old bag claims that the bags are only $10 a piece. Well back and forth. She asks when they "went up". Me they've been $20 for as long as I've been doing this. Finally she gets one, and demands a receipt to take to proves us wrong.
Yeah, it's been a bad day.
